Nicholas Nelson is the leading investor at the forefront of European defence technology. He is the General Partner at Archangel, Europe’s first defence-first venture capital fund, where he backs breakthrough deep tech startups across Europe. He previously founded Offset Ventures, Europe's first defence-focused VC syndicate. Prior to this he held senior roles in early-stage venture capital, strategy consulting, and government, including deploying to Afghanistan.

Additionally, Mr Nelson a Fellow at the University of Oxford and a Senior Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis, where his research bridges national security, emerging tech, and private capital. He was also elected to the Fellowship of the Royal Aeronautical Society, and his writing and insights have appeared in the Financial Times, BBC, Politico, and Sifted.
