Peter Lovell is PA’s Global Head of Defence and Security, leading a team of 550 defence and security specialists. Peter has 20 years of experience as a transformation expert in UK Defence, working with both the MOD and wider defence industry. An engineer by background, he is a specialist in designing and delivering multi-faceted transformation programmes for highly complex organisations and works at the most senior levels of MOD.

As an experienced change and transformation expert, he works with PA’s clients as they deliver better value while keeping the nation safe. He brings knowledge of the enterprise and relationships together to support them in achieving the complex challenges they face in an ever-changing landscape.

In April 2025, he was appointed to the Defence & Economic Growth Taskforce, established by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), and with support from the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves, and Secretary of State for Defence, John Healey. The group aims to identify opportunities to drive UK growth and productivity through investments in UK Defence capability and production.
