Shashank Joshi is defence editor at The Economist, where he covers nuclear, military, intelligence and national security issues. He is also a visiting fellow at the Department of War Studies at King’s College London and sits on the advisory board at the Royal United Services Institute. He was educated at Cambridge and Harvard. He had published books on Iran’s nuclear programme and India’s armed forces. His special reports for The Economist have covered the future of war, lessons from Ukraine and how technology is changing intelligence.
