Robert Harper MBE

Rowden's backstory is as unique as it is purposeful. After joining the Armed Forces at the age of 16 as a Communications Systems Engineer, Robert Harper MBE (Founder and CEO) served as part of the UK Airborne Forces and other specialist engineering organisations. This experience culminated in a capability acquisition role, where he witnessed firsthand the gulf between the needs of mission-focused organisations and the development and delivery of the critical technology they rely on.

After securing loan against his mortgage, Rob began building Rowden to bridge this gap. Since it was established in 2016, Rowden has now grown to become one of the UK's fastest growing businesses, specialising in building and deploying the critical software and edge computing capabilities needed to enhance the safety and mission effectiveness of frontline operators.
